This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe was purchased as a non-running project and was subsequently refurbished over the next several years. The exterior was repainted in the factory shade of Caspian Blue (H), the floorboards were repaired where needed, and some of the exterior brightwork was replaced at this time. Polished 14″ Torq Thrust wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Front disc brakes from a Ford Granada were installed during the refurbishment, along with new suspension components, bushings, and brake lines. The blue vinyl interior was overhauled , including replacement of the upholstery, carpets, dash pad, and headliner. A digital stereo was installed at this time, and the heater box was rebuilt. The gauges havebeen replaced, and the five-digit odometer shows just under 800 miles, though total mileage is unknown. Originally delivered with a 200ci inline-six, the car has been fitted with a 289ci V8 that was sourced by the seller from a 1966 Mustang and fitted with an aluminum intake, an Edelbrock carburetor, roller rockers, and a replacement radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 automatic transmission.
