For sale is a 1966 Oldsmobile F-85 restomod cruiser. Frame on restoration, originally a 330 cubic inch Oldsmobile engine with a two-barrel carb and a two-speed automatic transmission. This car was found in Missouri 25 years ago in a garage with approximately 29000 original miles on the odometer. Purchased and shipped to Illinois where a professionally built (.30 over) Oldsmobile 1969 Oldsmobile Toronado 455 cubic inch engine (see specs) and Muncie M20 4 speed transmission with a Hurst shifter, Hayes clutch, Mondello flywheel and Lakewood bellhousing were installed to replace the 330-factory drive train. A custom heavy-duty driveshaft was installed. Hooker headers and a complete exhaust system were installed by Iggy’s Muffler in Norridge, Illinois. The rear end is the original Oldsmobile 3:08 with factory positraction, new brakes and booster unit The suspension was replaced and 1” sway bars installed. The interior was pulled, rebuilt, and recovered to the original factory design pattern. The front bench seat is a rare four-way power seat option. The paint, completed by Dave and Jim’s Autobody in Arlington Heights, Illinois was redone in a new formula of the original Forest Green. It should be noted there was no rust on the car when it was purchased, and the frame was media blasted and undercoated prior to new paint. The black vinyl top is untouched. It is original and flawless. It rides on Cragar 15” deep dish wheels and B.F. Goodrich radial T/A’s. Please look at all the pictures and the engine build specifications.
