1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible
I am the 5th owner. Car delivered to Los Angeles in 1965 and spent its entire life in southern California until I purchased it about five years ago from a US Congress woman and her husband who owned it for 20 years prior to me and kept great care of it.
I know these cars quite well. I have driven this Lincoln on two separate trips from Seattle to Los Angeles and back without any problems. I visited John Cashman at his house in Palm Springs on one of these trips so he could work on the rear windows and convertible top.
The hydraulic hoses were made by the company HydroE specifically for this application. The rear back panel limit switch (>4K 500 dollars) is a rebuilt unit by John Brewer of Brewer Classic Lincolns, just as the upper back panel gear drive is also new and fabricated by John Brewer who sells these on his eBay store for over 300 dollars.
I replaced all vacuum hoses in the engine compartment, forward of the firewall.
